Growing up between her birth country Lithuania and the UK, this singer/songwriter was exposed to varied cultural influences. She was classically trained on cello and piano, while living in Lithuania aged 8. As a teen, back in the UK, she began writing original material. Inspired by the 90s sound of TLC and Britney and the soul of Nina Simone and Amy Winehouse, she debuted with “Gold Light” in 2018.
Kicking off with a sample of Cher saying “She needed a hero, so that’s what she became”, her new single wraps empowering lyrics in a sensual sonic sheet. Giving retro R&B a contemporary production, it’s the electronic beats and entrancing synths that create the silken seductive soundscape. And with her flirtatious vocals gliding over the beguiling notes, this is a honeyed slice of sweet R&B.
