Hailing from Nova Scotia, this Canadian soul/R&B singer and songwriter first fell in love with music in church. He started singing in the church choir and listening to legendary soul artists. In 2003 he was a contestant on the first season of Canadian Idol, finishing as the runner-up. Inspired by artists like Aretha Franklin, Michael Jackson and Al Green, he debuted with his self-titled album in 2004.
