Chris Jobe – “Sofa Song”

Having written his first song aged 12, this singer and songwriter went on to attend the music program at Belmont University in Nashville. In 2019 he competed on season 1 of NBC’s Songland. Now based in Los Angeles, he’s collaborated with various DJ’s and composed for film and TV. Inspired by David Bowie, Jimi Hendrix and Tame Impala, he released his debut “Thank You Internet” in 2017.

Trying to capture the heartbreak felt after the end of a relationship and the healing process that follows, his new single combines genuine, emotional lyrics with a fun-sounding melody. With an infectious rhythm, crisp guitars and jubilant horns injecting it with joyous vibes, it’s the surprising added sonic elements and his jovial vocals that infuses this anthemic groove with wistful empowerment.
