In The Spotlight

Rebecca Sichon – “Picking Petals”

Growing up in Mission, this Canadian singer, songwriter and musician was surrounded by classical and jazz music. She started singing aged 5, began taking piano lessons at the Royal Conservatory of Music at 7 and added ukulele and guitar at 12. She’s performed over 200 SoFar shows and toured Canada. Inspired by H.E.R., Alicia Keys and Amy Winehouse, she released her debut “Let Me Go” in 2016.

Sonically playing the does-he-love-me, does-he-love-me-not game, questioning a new lovers feelings petal by petal, her new single is a delightful fusion of R&B, soul and jazz. Intricately constructed with a mellow rhythm, rich bass and celestial harmonies, this alluring melody is full of warmth and charm. And with her sumptuous vocals stroking every note, this jam is a stunning smooth groove.
