In The Spotlight

Reevah – “Daylight Savings”

Born and raised in Derry as Aoife Boyle, this Irish singer and songwriter was bound to follow a musical path. She started learning the violin aged 5 and later added piano, guitar and drums, as well as vocal lessons. Since then she collaborated with the Ulster Orchestra and supported Irish artists like Lisa Hannigan. Inspired by Alison Krauss, Sigur Rós and Van Morrison, she debuted with “Nights” in 2017.

Starting this blossoming track with a throwback to her dreampop sound, this song sirens you into her magical sonic world. Taken from her same-titled debut album, it ascends to a dynamic chorus filled with upbeat vibes from the lively drums, warm bass and rousing guitars. And with her alluring vocals singing her sensitive lyrics, she fuses vulnerability with playfulness on this captivating tune.
