In The Spotlight

Sofia Rubina – “Great Life”

Hailing from Tartu, this Estonian jazz vocalist entered the Shortest Summer Night competition at 12 years young, singing George Gershwin’s “Summertime”. She studied at the renowned Berklee College of Music in Boston and performed at various festivals, including Panama Jazz and Blue Note Jazz. She also opened for Incognito, Seal and Roy Ayers, and released her debut album “My Sun” in 2008.

Celebrating the joys and allure of life itself, her new single pays tribute to the sheer beauty that’s all around us. Taken from her upcoming album “I Am Soul”, expected on December 8th, she created a delicate blend of jazz and soul. From the sleek piano, easygoing percussion and mellow bass to her enchanting vocals and jubilant chorus, this sonic delight feels like warm sunshine on your face.
