Izzy Potter – “Can’t End What Never Was”

Originally from New York and now based in Nashville, this emerging singer/songwriter has always been singing, but started writing her own songs aged 12. She began playing gigs from bars to birthdays to hone her craft. At the moment she’s studying music at Belmont University. Inspired by Lizzy McAlpine, Taylor Swift and Maggie Rogers, she released her debut single “Place Called Home” in 2021.

Taking us with her into the depths of her heart, where she opens up about breaking up with a person she never technically dated, her new single centers around feelings of loneliness, confusion, hurt and longing. Starting soft and heartfelt with an acoustic guitar, the song ascends to a booming chorus. With a rock beat, howling guitars and her stirring vocals, this exhilarating jam is a sonic stunner.
