Totten Bridge – “I Can’t Leave Us Behind”

Conceived during the Covid lockdowns, this is a musical project of New York-based songwriter James Palace. He was first introduced to music through his grandfather’s record store, absorbing various styles. He blends diverse genres from classic to contemporary with relatable lyrics. Inspired by Sam Fender, Coldplay and Imagine Dragons, he debuted with “Nobody Knows Me Like You Do” in 2022.

Exploring the aftermath of a failed relationship, his new single ponders about treasuring the positive impact a person had, rather than holding on to resentment. First tickling your ears with a refreshing guitar, it’s seamlessly joined by a mellow beat and his emotion-laden, harmonic vocals. Leading to an anthemic climax, this poignant slice of wistful pop is full of catchy hooks and uplifting vibes.
