néomí – “Somebody’s Daughter”

Born as Neomi Speelman, this Dutch folk-pop singer and songwriter had to take piano lessons for five years and didn’t take to it, so stopped playing music. It would be another four years before she started again, this time teaching herself guitar. She’s supported Don McLean and Jonathan Jeremiah. Inspired by Bon Iver and Ben Howard, she released her debut “If I Wasn’t Made For Love” in 2022.

Lyrically showing her vulnerable side, her new single is filled with words dealing with loneliness and heartache. Enveloped in a dreamy, laid-back melody, she creates her own cathartic auditory world. With an ambient, retro-touched rhythm, intoxicating guitars and her celestial harmonies fusing together as an enchanting whole, this heartfelt tune is teeming with honesty and genuine spirit.
