The Cumberland River Project – “Your Man”

Proof that you’re never to old to follow your dreams, German songwriter and musician Frank Renfordt started this project in his 60s. Although engrossed by music since childhood, he worked most of his life in the steel industry. However he always played guitar and wrote songs. A love for country music led him to Nashville to start a solo career. He released his debut “Back On The Road” in 2020.

Effortlessly layering blues and rock with 60s and 70s soul and a touch of country, his new single is an invigorating musical amalgamation. Drawing the listener straight in with a lively rhythm and bold brass, it’s his gritty voice, joined by backing vocalist Jenny Sabi, that accompanies you through the song. And with an electrifying blues-rock guitar solo, this intoxicating groove is pure sonic energy.

LULLANAS – “Alright”

Growing up in Pennsylvania, twin sister duo Atisha and Nishita Lulla were always immersed in music, be it from dad’s love of The Beatles and The Eagles, or their mom playing Johnny Cash and Eric Clapton. The gift of a guitar opened the door to a music career. Endless gigging honed their Americana sound. Inspired by Michelle Branch and Celine Dion, they released their debut “Don’t Say” in 2016.

Capturing the rollercoaster that being obsessed with keeping control of life can have on a relationship, their new single shows that true love can keep you grounded. Laying the foundation with a soft piano and a single emotive voice, the song ascends to a lush indie-folk and pop blend. With soft drums, sweet violins and stunning harmonies, this enchanting tune is filled with sonic magic.
