Sophie Egan – “Patterns”

Born in San Francisco and based in Los Angeles, this singer and songwriter has been writing songs since she was 11 years young. In 2019 she started collaborating with her brother, who co-writes and produces. In 2023 she graduated from the Los Angeles Academy Of Artists and Music Production. Inspired by Fleetwood Mac, Taylor Swift and Carole King, she debuted with “Start The Fire” in 2019.

Singing about welcoming change in your life instead of resisting it just to hold on to the familiar, her new single is radiating a tender folky-pop warmth. Drawing us into her sonic world with an acoustic guitar, it’s soon joined by a mild rhythm. Ascending to a charming, upbeat chorus, it’s the celestial harmonies and her sincere vocals that will carry this rousing, authentic tune straight to your heart.

Axel Flóvent – “Have This Dance”

Hailing from Húsavik, this Icelandic singer and songwriter got his first guitar at the age of 9, but didn’t take to it. However his uncle taught him to play AC/DC songs and, after a move to Denmark, classical guitar lessons changed that. Since he’s played the Iceland Airwaves Festival as well as SXSW. Inspired by The Beatles, Bon Iver and Bombay Bicycle Club, he debuted with his EP “Forest Fires” in 2015.

Capturing the exciting feeling that new love brings, where the world seems refreshed and enhanced, his new single establishes a warm and homely feeling soundscape. With a repetitive rhythm, glistening synths and a dreamy vibe creating a tranquil pop melody, it´s his emotion-laden, polished vocals singing the heartwarming lyrics, that make this beauteous tune sound honest and full of hope.
