In The Spotlight

Eddie Witz & The Most High – “In California”

Based in Los Angeles, this multi-genre singer and songwriter started singing and piano lessons at the age of 5. Since then he studied music, performed in the theatre and got a Theatre Arts degree in college. A visit to Jamaica aged 7 sparked a lifelong love for the island and it’s musical roots. His musical development was temporarily halted by the diagnosis of having Ramsey Hunt Syndrome. Inspired by Bob Marley, John Lennon and Elton John, he released his debut “My Island” in 2023.

Trying to capture the essence of the Golden State’s ability to help people find themselves, his new single is a sun-soaked journey of self-discovery. Taken from his upcoming EP “I Am What I Am”, expected on July 12th, the melody starts with a folk-infused acoustic guitar. Driven like a road trip over the nostalgic notes, the song adds a laidback pop rhythm and a touch of steel guitar. And with his charming, soulful vocals completing the sweet mix, this is a mesmerizing sonic odyssey.
