GeeJay – “Stronger Than You Think”
This British duo consisting of vocalist Gina Jane and producer/multi-instrumentalist Jacob Lobo first met with they were working in a coffee shop in London that also offers music lessons in the back. Now based in Bournemouth, they worked on their debut album, whilst being pregnant with their daughter. Joining Gina’s sleek vocals with Jacob’s groovy melodies created their unique sound. Inspired by Erykah Badu, Billie Holiday and Marvin Gaye, they debuted with “Horizon” in 2018.
Citing that no matter how bad things get, there’s always a light at the end of the tunnel, their inspiring single reminds us that we can handle a lot more than we might think. Taken from their latest album “What’s The Sun Without The Rain?”, this infectious tune effortlessly blends jazz, soul and a touch of hiphop. With a riveting rhythm, soft keys and delicious sax, it’s the warmth of her captivating vocals that glues all elements together and forges a rich groove full of strength and hope.

beaux – “I’ll Be Here When You Get Back”
Based in London, this British singer and songwriter was already uploading covers to YouTube at the age of 8. As a teenager he finished school early in order to focus on music. Sending a DM to Jamie Oborne of the label Dirty Hit eventually landed him a record deal. Since he’s played festivals like Reading & Leeds and a headline show at Camden Assembly. Inspired by The 1975 and Green Day, he released his debut EP “I Don’t Want To Make It Alone, I Want To Make It With You” in 2020.
Telling the story of someone who’s trying to be there for their loved one when life’s struggles seem to be getting to be overwhelming, his new single captures a very relatable scenario. With a backbone of a throbbing beat, it’s the charming melodic guitar that creates an infatuating melody. Enriched with shimmering synth soundscapes and upbeat electric guitars, the riveting tune fills with sonic goodness. And with his captivating vocals, this song is a particularly stunning track.
