Hailing from Birmingham, this British singer, songwriter and musician started playing drums in primary school and performing little gigs with his musician dad and his brother. In pursuit of a musical dream he moved to London and played bars, clubs and pubs. Embracing the guitar, piano and saxophone, he performed with the Ruen Brothers at Coachella and supported George Ezra. Inspired by Elton John, Jerry Lee Lewis and Billy Joel, he debuted with “Taking Back My Love” in 2016.
Telling the story of a man who cannot face the reality that the woman he loves is gone, his new single is reminiscent of late 70s soul-pop. Dipped in the vintage hues of the likes of Steely Dan and infused with buttery-smooth soul flavours, this song conjures up a sunny coastal road trip in an open-top Cadillac. Taken from his album “Creation”, it’s the luscious melody of the Fender Rhodes keyboard and sumptuous sax solo, as well as his soulful vocals, that make this tune truly irresistible.
