Nathan Ball – “Stateline”

Originally from London and now based on the Cornish coast, this British singer and songwriter started writing songs and playing in bands in school, together with his long-term collaborator Max Radford. Since deciding to make music a career, he’s supported Bon Iver, Van Morrison and Ziggy Alberts and played festivals like Boardmasters and Green Man. He’s also the vocalist for the band Faithless on tour. Inspired by The War On Drugs and Kurt Vile, he debuted with “Howling” in 2015.

Written while he was on tour in Australia, his new single attempts to capture the essence of a life lived on the road, with everchanging new faces and spaces. A consistent dream, which sometimes brings you back down to earth to face reality. Blending a mellow folky sound with a laidback pop vibe, the melody is built with a gentle percussion, jangly guitars and an all-encompassing warmth. And with his mesmerizing, storytelling vocals, this introspective tune tugs at your heartstrings.

Mikki Zip – “Somethin’ To Write About”

Born in Syracuse, NY, this passionate singer and songwriter grew up with music being a big part of her life. She watched her songwriter uncle TJ Sacco perform around New York since she was little. After getting a guitar aged 10 and with a love for country music, she started writing her own songs. Now based in Nashville, she’s performed all over Music City, honing her sound. Raised on Garth Brooks, Gary Allen and Reba McEntire, she released her debut single “Poor Mama” in 2022.

Narrating the profound feeling of whether a budding romance is just fleeting or indeed the real thing, her new single is a true emotional rollercoaster. Taken from her upcoming debut EP, expected in October, the song takes elements of southern rock and blends it with country soul and a smidgen of blues. Driven by a propulsive beat and howling electric guitars, this is a high-energy sonic experience. And with her attitude-filled vocals, this vivid jam is overflowing with raw emotion.
