In The Spotlight

Carson Ferris – “FOMO”

Based in Provo, UT and still counting in teenage years, this singer and songwriter started taking guitar lessons aged 6 and singing lessons aged 8. At 9 he joined a choir, which posted performances on YouTube. He began writing his own songs at 11. Since then he’s performed at festivals such as Buzzards & Bees and featured on Donny Osmond’s Las Vegas show. Inspired by Benson Boone and Ed Sheeran, he debuted together with Trinidad Cardona on “Can’t Be Without You” in 2021.

Singing about the importance of priorities and choosing what matters most to you in life, regardless whether it might mean missing out on something else, his new single is an upbeat account of him choosing his career over the carefree days of a teenager. Easing into the song with crisp acoustic guitar plucks, the song opens up in the joyous chorus filled with a bouncy beat, shiny keys and wild electric guitars. And with the youthful passion in his vocals, this is a lively pop-rock groove.
