Anthony Quaid – “Do I Scare You?”

Born in Baton Rouge, this pop/rock singer and songwriter learned to play piano by ear at the age of 6. Over time he added trumpet and cello to his skillset. He started as a jazz trumpet player and classical vocalist before transitioning to pop. Now based in Los Angeles, he’s using his music to spread awareness for the LGBTQ+ community and empower those who need it most. Drawing inspiration from Ariana Grande, Sam Smith and Demi Lovato, he released his debut single “Secrets” in 2020.

Highlighting the daily difficulties that homophobia is still causing, his new single is a journey of transforming fear and rejection into true authenticity. Softly ascending into the dynamic melody with smooth, orchestral flair, the song expands with a heartbeat rhythm, before erupting in the catchy chorus with pop synths and guitars. And with lyrical honesty and his mesmerizing and soaring vocals, this highly infectious tune combines an emotional message with sheer vibrancy.
