Born in Malaysia, but now based in London, this singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist moved to the UK at 16. Although she studied psychology and communications, it was a musical career that won out in the end. She started writing music in her early twenties and posting covers on YouTube. Since then she’s played various festivals such as The Great Escape and ESNS. Inspired by Troye Sivan, Chappell Roan and Olivia Rodrigo, she released her debut single “VCR Home Video” in 2024.
Reminiscing about her teenage self and the throws of past romance, her new single is a heartfelt homage to the person she once was. Effortlessly blending nostalgia with modern pop, the song starts with some intriguing piano chords and seductive notes. Following an ABBA-esque melodic run, she takes us back to her teenage years and guides us to a full-bodied orchestral feast. With a bustling beat and cheeky synths, it’s her flirtatious vocals that make this retro tune a sonic gift.
