In The Spotlight

Yarin Glam – “Rebel”

Born in Israel, this singer and songwriter always had an obsession with music and dreamt of being part of that world one day. She and her family moved to Los Angeles when she was 14 years old and she started recording music at 17. Raising awareness of mental health issues, she writes personal lyrics about her own struggles with an eating disorder and the need to embrace your authentic self. Inspired by Rihanna, Lana Del Ray and BeyoncĂ©, she debuted with “Free” in 2020.

Singing about embracing your individuality and defying societal expectations, her new single captures her rebellious streak against what other assume she should strive for as a woman. Taken from her upcoming EP “Human”, the upbeat track starts with an electronic beat and a distorted voice, but opens up to a modern R&B vibe. With a driving rhythm and lavish bass, the song ascends to a mix of a soulful tune, layered with rich, electronic effects and her empowering vocals.
