Originating from Tifton, frontman Derrick Dove started as a drummer in his dad’s band aged 10. He switched to guitar aged 12 and formed his first band aged 14. After a disappointing year in Nashville to chase his dream, he returned and formed his current band consisting of Jamie Richardson, Don Hill III and Jonathan Thomas in 2010. Inspired by music legends such as Stevie Ray Vaughn, Jimi Hendrix and Kenny Wayne Shepherd, they debuted with “Hangin’ Out With The Blues” in 2018.
Crooning about heartbreak with a raw, emotion-filled grit, their new single finds that sweet spot balancing classic blues, southern rock and a touch of country with a sprinkling of soul. Taken from their album “Burn It Down”, the track instantly grabs hold of your heart from the very first note and won’t let go throughout. With some emotive percussion, wistful Hammond organ and wailing guitars. it’s his dusty vocal passion that make this rousing groove a heart-wrenching gem.
