In The Spotlight

MARLEY – “Good Times”

Originally from The Netherlands and now based in London, this Dutch singer and songwriter has been battling mental health issues, such as body dysmorphia, her entire life. Through her musical journey she realized that being genuine and loving yourself as you are is more important than being perfect. Since then she’s performed at Camden Jazz CafĂ© as well as Sofar Sounds. Inspired by Amy Winehouse, Carole King and Stevie Wonder, she debuted with “Look Mama T.H.O.T.” in 2024.

Reminding us that wealth is not the same thing as happiness, her new single reflects on her time working with well-to-do individuals. Creating an auditory brew of sonic influences, the song starts with reggae-touched guitar strums, before the addition of a driving beat slides the song into an lively pop layer. And with some soulful keys and her playful, emotion-driven vocals injecting heartfelt empowerment, this tasty, timeless tune delivers a good time from the very first note.
