In The Spotlight

Asha Maclean – “Yoga”

Hailing from New York City, this singer and songwriter has been immersed in music and dance from a young age. Born into a creative family, her parents were always supportive of her. She started singing karaoke in her room to BeyoncĂ© and Britney Spears. At 14 she uploaded a video of her singing a Billie Eilish song, which caught the attention of Grammy-winning producer Charles Farrer. Inspired by Ariana Grande, The Internet and Kehlani, she released her debut “Serial FBoy” in 2021.

Exploring every crevice of the highs and lows of a relationship, her new single tries to find a balance in a passionate tug-of-war of modern love. Taking bewitching flavours of 90s R&B and dipping them into a layer of enchanting pop, this vivid song has a touch of delicious nostalgia. With infectious dance-floor rhythms, shimmering synths and delicate guitar strums laying down the hypnotic melody, it’s her silken vocals gently caressing every note that make this tune a radiant smooth groove.
