Josh Ritchie – “Numb”

Born in Toronto and raised in Wiarton, this Canadian singer and songwriter grew up immersed into the music scene. With both his father and his uncle a member of the folk band Tanglefoot, he would actually tour with the band as a kid and help them set up. He took to the guitar himself and, since starting his career, played festivals such as the Ottowa Grassroots Festival and more recently Summerfolk. Inspired by rock bands like U2, he released his debut album “Louder” in 2019.

Taken from his upcoming album “So Much More Than A Dream” on which the collection of songs tell the story of someone looking for peace and purpose in this turbulent world, his new single asks the question of whether that someone believes in anything at all anymore. Driving the song is a vivid rock rhythm and is enriched with imposing guitars and a cheeky piano. With a melody giving off some Coldplay vibes and vocals that glide from falsetto to fierce, this magnetic tune is stadium-ready.
