In The Spotlight

Remi Goode – “Short Circuit”

Hailing from Tucson, AZ, this indie-folk singer and songwriter is a classically trained nylon-string guitarist. She honed her vocal skills as a member of the acclaimed Tucson Girls Chorus. Since then she’s played venues such as Urban Cowboy in Nashville and festivals like Red Lodge Songwriter Festival, where she became a finalist in the Rocky Mountain Songwriting Contest. Inspired by Suzanne Vega, Kathleen Edwards and Sarah Harmer, she debuted with “Can’t Help Falling In Love” in 2020.

Taking a sarcastic look at her own anxious thoughts and inner voices, her new single is a realization that all her struggles are self-inflicted. Taken from her debut album “Things I’ve Said Before”, expected on September 26th, the song breathes some laid-back vibes. Beginning with a mellow guitar and summery seagull sounds, they’re soon joined by a gentle rhythm and playful keys. And with her hypnotic, yet rosy vocals, this surprisingly jazzy tune is a rich blend of sonic goodness.
