Based in New York and consisting of Venezuelan-born lead singer Eduardo Zighelboim, Brazilian-born bassist Gianluca Girard and guitarist Fern Souza, this band evolved from Ed’s solo DIY project. Guided by people like Matthew Lewin of Magdalena Bay, they created an eclectic sound blending 70s and 80s music and disco, psych rock and indie-pop. Inspired by a wide-range of artists like Bee Gees, The Police and Steely Dan, they debuted as a trio with the single “yeahyeahyeah” in 2020.
Reminiscing of a real experience where a band member saw beautiful, glass-like patterns in the clouds while high on mushrooms, their new single uses the happening as a metaphor for unpredictable emotions in a relationship. Initially starting with an 80s electric synth drone, the song evolves into a sophisticated, 70s AOR-inspired smooth groove. With a soft drum, mellow keys and vibrant guitars, it’s the chill vibe of the harmonic vocals that escorts us through their colorful, sonic world.
