Born in Switzerland and based in Brighton, this British singer and songwriter was interested in music from a young age, partially due to his pianist father. Although he started uploading animations online, he moved on to uploading video’s of his instrumental work. Since then he’s played festivals such as The Great Escape and Reading & Leeds and supported artists like Jake Bugg and Lewis Capaldi on tour. Inspired by Foals and The Strokes, he released his debut single “Slow Down” in 2020.
Written while on tour in the United States, his new single highlights the culture shock for an Englishman performing in the USA with a touch of homesickness at the same time. Kicking off with a raw electric guitar, the song blends indie-pop and alternative rock into an auditory delight. With a raucous edge he moves the turbulent tune into late 00s melodies. Heavy percussion, a howling guitar solo and his energetic vocals make this vibrant groove sound both exhilarating and nostalgic.
