In The Spotlight

Luan Luan – “Northern Lights”

Born in Madrid and based in Brighton, this singer and songwriter is fuelled by a multi-cultural artistry. Combining various genres like pop, funk, R&B and soul into an exciting organic sound, they craft a colorful palette of musical self-expression. Since the start of their career, their music has been played on BBC Radio and featured on the Spanish TV show ‘Escándalo, Relato de una Obsesión’. Inspired by artists like John Mayer, Lauv and Diplo, they released their debut “Elements” in 2019.

Using the image of the northern lights as a metaphor for beauty and freedom that comes from dancing like no one is watching and expressing yourself without judgment, their new single is an infectious slice of pure energy. With a jazzy vibe throughout, the song is layered with a funky groove. With slick wah-wah guitars, invigorating rhythm and catchy hooks dragging us on to the dance-floor, it’s their vibrant vocals that turn this vitalizing jam into a buoyant auditory experience.
