In The Spotlight

Spencer Graham – “Black”

Hailing from Clearfield, Pennsylvania, this singer and songwriter has been singing and playing the guitar since he was 8 years old. Although he didn’t grow up on country music, it was hearing Florida Georgia Line when he was 16 that lit the way. Since the start of his career he’s played various venues and local breweries like the Dented Keg as well as the Original Music Festival and the River Front Festival. Inspired by Ed Sheeran and Zach Bryan, he released his debut “Some Songs” in 2020.

Trying to capture the relatable experience of feeling a bit lost, be it in love or life, his new single is a slow-burning, emotion-filled portion of heartfelt country. Starting softly and tactile with a mellow acoustic guitar, the song ascends to an impassioned chorus with resonant percussion and stirring fiddles adding sonic zeal. And with an honesty and vulnerability in his sensitive vocals, this tender country ballad with a touch of folk is a raw account of trying to find your place in the world.
