Sofia Rubina – “Great Life”

Hailing from Tartu, this Estonian jazz vocalist entered the Shortest Summer Night competition at 12 years young, singing George Gershwin’s “Summertime”. She studied at the renowned Berklee College of Music in Boston and performed at various festivals, including Panama Jazz and Blue Note Jazz. She also opened for Incognito, Seal and Roy Ayers, and released her debut album “My Sun” in 2008.

Celebrating the joys and allure of life itself, her new single pays tribute to the sheer beauty that’s all around us. Taken from her upcoming album “I Am Soul”, expected on December 8th, she created a delicate blend of jazz and soul. From the sleek piano, easygoing percussion and mellow bass to her enchanting vocals and jubilant chorus, this sonic delight feels like warm sunshine on your face.

Gunning For Allie – “Alive”

Hailing from Brisbane and consisting of theatre actor Joshua Mulheran and Isla Vera frontman James Waters, this Australian synth-pop duo grew up together and played in a high school band. With Josh creating the lyrics and James the melodies, they’ve forged an 80s-inspired synth sound. Inspired by Death Cab For Cutie, Chrvrches and The 1975, they released their debut single “Braille” in 2017.

Lyrically referencing the painful loss of Josh’s best friend Courtney, their new single merges a vibrant and nostalgic electronic soundscape with personal, emotive words. Instantly gripping with a retro 80s synth run and a driving beat, they added a sonic sizzle and thunderous drums. And with passionate vocals reminding the listener to stay strong and live life, this voltaic tune is an inspiring groove.

Alex McArtor – “Endless Summer”

Raised in Austin and now Los Angeles-based, this rising singer and songwriter spent her downtime from school writing poetry, playing guitar and listening to artists like Lou Reed, Bob Dylan and Depeche Mode. Her main lyrical influence however are a wide-ranging scope of films, such as Trainspotting, Velvet Goldmine and The Phantom Of The Opera. She debuted with her EP “Spoken Word” in 2019.

Creating an idyllic fantasy world where romance and escapism go hand in hand and love never ends, her new single blends pure musical nectar with an enchanting story. Slightly reminiscent of Lana Del Rey, she conjures an alluring sound with vivid guitars, driving beat and subtle keys painting an esoteric sonic picture, it’s her spell-binding vocals that make this gem sound extraordinary.

The Eighty Six Seas – “Lonely Afternoon”

Born in Massachusetts as Nick Stevens, this eclectic singer and songwriter started his musical career as a solo folk artist in college. Now based in Brooklyn, he got exposed to a plethora of musical styles. Named after the 1986 Boston Celtics, he shapes rock, pop and folk into an unique sound. Inspired by The National, New Order and Bon Iver, he debuted with his EP “This Is Just A Simple Song” in 2022.

Based on the true story of the Stewart-Gardner Museum heist, his new single tells the tale of a struggling business-man who tries to inject excitement in his life by stealing a piece of art. Accompanied by 80s-touched electronica, from the vitalizing beat and the sprightly synths to the sleek guitars, it’s his mesmerizing vocals that bring all elements together into one intriguing sonic adventure.

Rosa Mack – “When I’m Alone”

Hailing from Brisbane, this Australian powerhouse singer and songwriter has been a feature of the local live music scene since 2020. Backed by a seven-piece soul and blues collective, they’ve played numerous sold-out shows, as well as several festivals, such as the Woodford Folk Festival. Inspired by Amy Winehouse, Brittany Howard and Nina Simone, it’s time to debut her impassioned soulful sound.

Guiding the listener through the complexities of toxic relationships and the liberating feeling of solitude, her debut single is a soul-stirring sonic gem. Easing into the song with a smooth blend of a classic soul rhythm, blues guitar and gospel organ, it’s her emotive vocals that lead to a soaring finale brimming with blazing horns and wild guitars, fusing together into an exhilarating retro anthem.
