Beks – “The Best Part Of Breaking Up”

Born as Rebecca Callander, this dazzling Australian singer and songwriter got her first start aged 11, writing a radio jingle for a local hairdressers. Although she left music for 10 years, she eventually found her way back. She fronted a punk-rock band called RACKETT for 3 years, but chose a solo pop career. Inspired by Kylie Minogue, Charli XCX and Dua Lipa, she debuted with “Stars In My Eyes” in 2020.

Written as a cathartic healing tool to deal with her own heartbreak, her new single is as poignant as it is relatable. Taken from her upcoming debut EP “I’m That Girl”, expected on March 22nd, she filled the vivid melody with infectious disco-pop vibes. With funky guitars, glittery synths and an insatiable beat, it’s her virulent vocal cheer that immerses this catchy groove in spirited positivity.

Dylan LeBlanc – “Let It Rain”

Born in Shreveport, Louisiana, this singer and songwriter grew up in a tough environment, with a rife gang culture. After moving to Alabama, he got immersed in the musical world, due to his dad James being a professional musician. He began playing in several bands, eventually starting his own called Abraham. Inspired by artists such as Bobbie Gentry, he debuted solo on his EP “Paupers Field in 2010.

Taken from the expanded edition of his 2023 album “Coyote”, his new single is a chapter in the story of the character named Coyote, who is on the run from his past. With semi-autobiographical lyrics, it’s the 60s feel of the melody, with sleek piano, mellow guitars and country-esque rhythm, that dips it in familiar nostalgia. And with his authentic, emotive vocals, this is a mesmerizing tune.

néomí – “Somebody’s Daughter”

Born as Neomi Speelman, this Dutch folk-pop singer and songwriter had to take piano lessons for five years and didn’t take to it, so stopped playing music. It would be another four years before she started again, this time teaching herself guitar. She’s supported Don McLean and Jonathan Jeremiah. Inspired by Bon Iver and Ben Howard, she released her debut “If I Wasn’t Made For Love” in 2022.

Lyrically showing her vulnerable side, her new single is filled with words dealing with loneliness and heartache. Enveloped in a dreamy, laid-back melody, she creates her own cathartic auditory world. With an ambient, retro-touched rhythm, intoxicating guitars and her celestial harmonies fusing together as an enchanting whole, this heartfelt tune is teeming with honesty and genuine spirit.

Ben Hazlewood – “Always There”

Born near Wellington and now based in Sydney, this New Zealand artist spent his life immersed in music. His father sang in multiple bands and his mother owned a dance studio. At 14 he wrote his first original song. Continuing to hone his authentic sound, he won MTV’s The Freshman music video competition. Inspired by David Bowie, Janis Joplin and Stevie Nicks, he debuted with “Wanted” in 2015.

Capturing the devastating feelings that sprout from an one-sided love, his new single shows off his impressive, heartfelt songwriting artistry. Making use of the sheer passion found in classic soul, he wraps his emotive lyrics in a heart-wrenching melody. Hailing from Camberley, this British singer/songwriter started her musical journey playing drums in her school orchestra. At 16 she taught herself to play guitar. After a move to London she provided backing vocals for the likes of Bombay Bicycle Club, Manic Street Preachers and Paul Weller. Inspired by Neil Young, Joni Mitchell and Adele, she released her solo debut album “Like I Used To” in 2012.

Reflecting on the personal trials in her past, her new single celebrates overcoming adversity with defiance and determination. Taken from her upcoming album “This Ain’t The Way You Go Out”, expected on April 19th, it’s the rhythmic beat, melodious piano and her hypnotic vocals that draws the listener in. Born and raised in Milton Keynes and based in London, this British/Ghanaian singer and songwriter grew up in a creative family of a saxophonist dad and a fashion cutter mom. She developed her jazzy, neo-soul sound immersing herself in the vibrant London jazz community, while at university. Inspired by Erykah Badu, D’angelo and Lauryn Hill, she released her debut single “For The Best” in 2022.
