Bealby Point – “Storm In A Teacup”

Hailing from Vancouver, this Canadian band consists of Zack Yeager, Jack Armstrong and Jordan Studer. Formed in 2018, they were originally a quartet with Clayton Dewar. Since their inception they’ve carved a name for themselves for their live act at venues like The Fox Cabaret and The Rickshaw Theatre, as well as festivals like NXNE and Saturdays In Saxapahaw. Inspired by bands like The Strokes, Red Hot Chili Peppers and Weezer, they debuted with “I’m So Bummed Out Right Now” in 2021.

Singing about the perseverance and determination needed to keep a relationship on track when things get difficult, their new single champions putting aside one’s ego and fix what is broken. Capturing the lyrics in a bouncy indie-rock vibrancy, the song has a summer-ready radiance. With a driving rhythm, thumping bass and polished guitar riffs padding the lively tune, it’s the infectious hooks and Jack’s emotive vocals that turn this energetic groove into something special.
