Ryan Rickenbach – “Emily”

Music was not this singer and songwriters first ambition. He moved to New York with dreams of the silver screen. His acting aspirations landed him a role in the musical “Folk City”, based on the Greenwich Village music club. In preparation of the role he performed in local dives and found his true passion was music. Self-proclaimed Little King of Cosmic Folk”, he debuted with his 2016 EP “Stasis”.

By skillfully enriching folk with elements of pop and rock, his powerful new single becomes an inspired amalgam of music and emotion. A funky rhythm is woven through a potent bassline, wailing electric guitars and retro-dipped keys. Joséphine – “BabyGirl”

Hailing from Tucson, this singer, songwriter, actress and model was born to Persian parents. Her musical influence is genre-spanning – ranging from hiphop to blues and rap and from Etta James and Janis Joplin to Eminem. She has performed all over the States both at varied festivals and clubs and debuted her unique melting pot sound and sing-rap cadence on her album “Love Trap: The Story” in 2017.

Sebastian Gaskin – “Snakehold”

Based in Winnipeg, this multi-instrumentalist Canadian singer and songwriter writes and self produces his R&B sound. Drawing inspiration from his eclectic musical tastes, ranging from R&B to hiphop and from metal to punk, he’s been compared to Post Malone and Frank Ocean. He headlined a club tour, supported T-Pain and Common. In May 2019 he released his debut EP “Contradictions”.

Showing what you get when you take a touch of classic soul and a smidgen of funk and dip them in a generous bath of contemporary R&B, his new single is both seductively smooth, as highly danceable. Lola Lennox – “Back At Wrong”

Born as the daughter of Grammy winner Annie Lennox, this singer and songwriter has always been drawn to music. She started playing piano aged 7, signed up for singing lessons aged 8 and earned a place at The Royal Academy Of Music, despite finding it not for her. As well as contributing to the soundtrack of Discovery’s “Serengeti”, she debuted with her single “In The Wild” earlier this year.

With an infectious, pounding beat from the start, her new single is a powerful statement of raw emotion. Inspired by her own experience with a toxic relationship, every lyric sounds genuine and intimate. Dana Williams – “Knife”

Having grown up in Los Angeles and New York as the daughter of the late legendary guitarist David Williams, this timeless singer and songwriter was born with musical genes. Raised on Ella Fitzgerald and Billie Holiday, she started writing songs in middle school. She debuted with her 2013 EP “The Lonely One” and had her song “Keep Me Waiting” featured in the Oscar-winning movie “Whiplash”.

Giving a smooth retro pop melody a jazzy finish, her new single is about cutting ties in an unhappy relationship and rejoicing in the new found freedom. With a vintage beat accompanying the pleasing guitar, it’s her enchanting, velveteen vocals that show her gift for storytelling. Jane’s Party – “Change Her Mind”

This Toronto-based Canadian quartet, consisting of Devon Richardson, Tom Ionescu, Jeff Giles and Zach Sutton, have been making music together since 2006. Formed while attending University, they began playing covers in packed clubs. Their original material is a colorful, evolving genre-spanning blend. They debuted with “The Garage Sessions” in 2009 and toured with Tom Odell, Arkells and Blue Rodeo.

Influenced by the rock music of the 60s and 70s, but with a neon-colored 80s coating, their new single shines warm summertime sunshine on their indie-rock sound. Singing about working through a relationship, instead of holding out for something better, they capture the feeling of naive youth. With slightly out-of-tune guitars and joyous party vibes, this tune is filled with happiness-inducing nostalgia.
