Jordana – “We Get By”

Born in Washington D.C. as Jordana Nye, this singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist took up playing violin as a child, after a recommendation from her church organist father. Inspired by Grizzly Bear, The Strokes and Andy Shauf, she released her debut single “Canvas” in 2018.

Written as a homage to true love, where material things lose their importance when you get to bask in the warmth of pure love, her new single is a delightfully 60s/70s Laurel Canyon-esque experience. From the acoustic guitar start, leading to a mirthful rhythm, textured harmonies and the sunlit Californian shimmer, it’s her joyous, indie-folk violin artistry and her gilded vocals bringing all elements together in an ear-pleasing tune, filled with hope and unadulterated romance.
