Angie Petty – “Many Onlys”

Based in Salt Lake City, this versatile singer and songwriter was raised in a family of musicians. She studied and was a vocalist at School Of Rock, where she gained her performance confidence. Since then she’s shared the stage with Grammy winning artists like Jon Batiste and Elliot Yarmin and learned how to produces, arrange, write, perform and record her own music. Inspired by the likes of Amy Winehouse, India Arie and Moonchild, she released her debut “Something Special” in 2020.

Meant as a reassurance that everything will be alright when the tears have dried up after an unexpected break-up, her new single feels like a warm, comforting blanket. With a delightfully silky sonic embrace, she takes the softest elements of soul, jazz and R&B and blends them with some honeyed sounds. Mike Evin – “The Ham In You”

Based in Toronto, this Canadian singer and songwriter has created a fan base from North America to the UK with his unique piano-pop melodies. He’s been honing his genre-blended sound since bursting onto the music scene in 2005. Over time he’s released six albums, an EP and a number of singles and shared the stage with Barenaked Ladies and Martha Wainwright. Inspired by The Beach Boys, Paul Simon and Laura Nyro, he debuted with his album “I’ll Bring The Stereo” in 2005.

Following the theme of his previous single “I Almost Called You Babe, his new single discusses the simple, yet important things we’d miss when a relationship ends. Starting this stylish song with an vulnerable acoustic piano and leading to a crescendo of keys and multi-layered harmonies, it’s his emotion-filled, storytelling vocals that capture the conflicting feelings of wishing an ex-lover well, while mourning what was lost. Reminiscent of 70s piano ballads, this is a bittersweet gem.

Anne Reburn – “Meltdown”

Born and raised in a small town in Oklahoma, this Los Angeles-based singer and songwriter grew up dancing, playing piano and performing in local musical theatre and later added bass and guitar. She studied Creative Media Production at college, as well as spending a year in Spain. Trying to escape a miserable job, she started a YouTube channel, uploading a variety of covers. Influenced by All American Rejects, Avril Lavigne and Stevie Wonder, she released her debut “So It Goes” in 2017.

Singing about allowing yourself to take a break from life to have a little breakdown to regain the strength to pick yourself back up again and come back stronger, her new single is filled with fun sonic quirks. From the cheery rhythm, sprightly keys and cheeky tambourine to the wacky harmonies from her ‘choir of clones’, this bouncy track is an idiosyncratic amalgam of positivity. And with her luminous vocals, this jaunty tune is an infectious earworm brimming with auditory sunshine.

Born in Melbourne, this Australian singer-songwriter’s musical world was shaped by her singing along to her favourite artists while wandering the beaches of the Whitsundays. Classically trained at the University of Queensland, she combines it with a love for contemporary pop, creating a genre-fluid style. She’s played festivals like Mardi Gras-Burg and supported artists like LAVELIN. Inspired by Ed Sheeran, Julia Michaels and Sam Smith, she debuted with “Collateral Damage” in 2018.

Highlighting ones trust issues and the baggage that comes with it, which you take into a new relationship, her new single is built around honest and genuine lyricism. First getting engulfed by an electronic, hazy synth, while she’s setting the scene, the song soon erupts with an invigorating drum beat and retro rock-pop guitars. And with her exuberant vocals adding some youthful elation, this virulent tune of 80s neon pop with a slice of modernity is an electric, buoyant groove.

Hailing from Hayling Island and born as Archie Langley, this British singer and songwriter’s interest in music was fuelled by the artists his parents played, from James Morrison to Frank Sinatra. He learned to play guitar in his early teens, but didn’t yet sing. After a friend’s encouragement aged 19, be started playing open mic nights at pubs. Since then he’s opened for Kodaline and collaborated with Kygo. Now based in London, he debuted with “You’ve Got The Wrong Guy” in 2020.

Describing the excitement felt when chasing big dreams, his new single encourages you to be open to everything the world has to offer. Malou Madi – “Louder Than”

Born in Paris as Marie Davy, this French singer, songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist grew up in a musical environment and played classical piano from a young age. In her twenties she moved to America and studied at Berklee College Of Music in Boston, before settling in Brooklyn. She recently returned to France after a decade. A jazz musician at heart, she plays with synths and rhythms. Compared to Feist and Sabrina Claudio, she debuted with “Decomplicated” in 2021.

Capturing the strong feelings hidden in shared silences and delicate touches, her new single emphasizes the value of a simple, meaningful act. Taken from her upcoming EP “Lilt”, expected on May 24th, the melody is filled with tender vulnerabilty and clever sonic layering.
