ROSEYE – “Fallen Angels”

Based in Amsterdam, this genre-bending band was formed in 2022 with musicians from across Europe. Fronted by Scottish/Australian vocalist and saxophonist Tallulah Rose, the band consists of Julek Warszawski, Kasparas Petkus, Deborah Slijkhuis and Joshua Lutz. Since their inception they’ve played renowned festivals like North Sea Jazz and Edinburgh International Fringe. Inspired by Hiatus Kaiyote, Jordan Rakei and Robert Glasper, they released their debut “Fading” in 2024.

Lyrically calling for liberation and humanity in these trying times, their new single was born out of the heavy weight that war and genocide carries with it. Although rooted in hope and community instead of darkness and depression, the song turns resistance into empathy and solidarity. Forging a rich kaleidoscope of sound, it’s the jazz-touched rhythm, multi-layered synths, funky guitars and her stirring vocals and fiery sax, this mesmerizing groove calls for optimism in a cruel world.
