TOI – “We Got This”

Formed back in 2011 in the New Zealand School of Music and initially performing as Tunes Of I, this Wellington based creates soulful R&B with a funky twist. Having gained a name for their tight, dynamic live performances, they’ve played killer sets at various festivals and shared the stage with the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Ocean Alley and Tash Sultana. They released their debut EP “T.O.I” in 2013.

Starting with a seductive, buttery-smooth soul intro, their feel-good new single encourages to never lose hope in yourself. With a gripping bass, laid-back keys and mellow beat laying the cheery, soulful foundation, the bridge adds a darker sonic layer. And with neon shimmering, 80s pop-infused vocals relaying their hope-filled, inspirational message, this lustrous tune is a delicious smooth groove.

Sianon – “Loving You This Way”

Hailing from the West-Midlands in England, this rising singer and songwriter recently made the brave choice to move to Melbourne, Australia. She taught herself piano and guitar aged 13 and performed her self-penned songs at open mic nights. She’s played the Isle Of Wight Festival and opened for Gabrielle Aplin. Inspired by Avril Lavigne and Taylor Swift, she debuted with “Overthinking” in 2020.

Celebrating love and personal evolution during your 20s, her new single embraces her relatable lyrics with a magical melodic hug. Accompanied by a sleek piano, she starts telling her tale with her shimmering, velveteen vocals. Slowly building to a crescendo of sonic optimism from the imposing drums and fresh guitar strums lifting the tune up, this infectious ballad is an auditory stunner.
