Formed in Ridgewood in 2008, this Brooklyn-based band were childhood friends who met in school. Their musical journey evolved from playing shows in a back yard and various band incarnations to signing their first record deal. Comprised of Martin Courtney, Alex Bleeker, Matt Kallman, Julian Lynch and Sammi Niss and inspired by The Feelies, they debuted with their self-titled album in 2009.
Delving into the unconscious part of the brain where our creativity lives and ideas sprout from, their new single is about writing songs. Taken from their upcoming album “Daniel”, expected on February 23rd, they engulf their words in a lighthearted melody, that chases away the dark days before Christmas. With a luminous musical bop and airy vocals, this easygoing tune gives you a warm hug.
