Megan Winsor – “Come Round Again”

Based in Los Angeles, this singer and songwriter taught herself to play guitar and piano through YouTube videos, as well as writing songs. At 13 she started performing in bars and restaurants for tourists. Since then she’s performed at renowned venues such as The Viper Room and The Hotel Café, as well as record at the Abbey Road Studios. She also graduated from the USC Thornton School Of Music. Inspired by Taylor Swift, Lorde and The Lumineers, she debuted with “Caught Up” in 2017.

Lyrically taking the listener past all the ups and downs of romance, from infectious infatuation to the heartbreak of broken promises, her new single highlights that despite that disappointment, her heart is open to try again. Wrapped in a neon haze from the bouncing beat to the shimmer of the synths and the warmth of the guitars, the melody has a distinct retro 80s feel. And with her multi-faceted vocals going from hypnotic to empowering, this rich groove is a spectacular tune.

Kailaya – “To Be Loved By You”

Grown up in Los Angeles, this multi-talented singer, songwriter, dancer and poet was an active child, learning piano, ballet and gymnastics. She already was a drummer and singer in a band at the age of 9. Although she took a break to invest her energy in playing volleyball, at 19 she returned to dancing and tried turning her poetry into songs. Inspired by Snoh Aalegra, Nina Simone and Ray Charles, she debuted with “Lately” in 2022, which won a John Lennon Songwriting Award in the R&B genre.

Filled with empowerment and self-love, her new single narrates that she’s not waiting to be loved by someone who takes her for granted. Lyrically breaking the shackles of wanting validation from a lover, musically she forges a sweet R&B soundscape. With an ebb-and-flow-like beat, enchanting keys and mellow guitars blending together in a saccharine smooth mesmeric melody, it’s her spellbinding vocals softly stroking your ears, that make this alluring tune sound like pure silk.
