This Belgian trio is no stranger to the music scene. Consisting of Jorrit Hermans, Steven Omblets and Michel Becx, they formed their first band in college two decades ago. Eventually going their own way to have regular jobs, they reunited under their new moniker in 2019. Finding themselves with a totally unexpected success, they played gigs and festivals all over Europa and the USA. Inspired by Tom Petty, R.E.M. and Hüsker Dü, they released their debut “The Summers We Missed” in 2022.
Shining a light on staying true to yourself, their latest EP shows both the upside as the downside. The titular, third single is an intricate amalgamation of soft melancholy and cinematic splendour. Instantly hypnotic, the song starts with a mellow melody that draws the listener in. With a gentle rhythm, infatuating indie guitars and an understated Hammond organ leading us to an anthemic chorus, it’s the charismatic vocals that take us on a trip through their irresistible musical world.
