Noha Saré – “Cracks Beneath My Skin”

Born and based in Amsterdam, this Dutch singer and songwriter grew up with music from Aretha Franklin to The Beatles being played by her musician dad. Despite being a shy child, she did sing and play music with her brother Marius Koch, a multi-instrumentalist and composer. She started as a session musician and background singer, where she was noticed by producer Tom Bachmann. Inspired by 070Shake, James Blake and FKA Twigs, she released her debut single “Talk To Me” in 2020.

With deeply personal lyrics about her having to deal with debilitating symptoms of an initially undiagnosed illness while life around her seemed carefree, her new single captures the helpless feeling of just wanting to be normal. With a sophisticated blend of Alt-R&B and Neo-Soul, this dreamy song with a mellow rhythm, soft synths and heavenly harmonies is a modern ballad with a touch of 80s charm. And with her sultry vocals, this tender tune is a vulnerable and honest treasure.
