Chloe Qisha – “21st Century Cool Girl”

Born in Malaysia, but now based in London, this singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist moved to the UK at 16. Although she studied psychology and communications, it was a musical career that won out in the end. She started writing music in her early twenties and posting covers on YouTube. Since then she’s played various festivals such as The Great Escape and ESNS. Inspired by Troye Sivan, Chappell Roan and Olivia Rodrigo, she released her debut single “VCR Home Video” in 2024.

Reminiscing about her teenage self and the throws of past romance, her new single is a heartfelt homage to the person she once was. Effortlessly blending nostalgia with modern pop, the song starts with some intriguing piano chords and seductive notes. Following an ABBA-esque melodic run, she takes us back to her teenage years and guides us to a full-bodied orchestral feast. With a bustling beat and cheeky synths, it’s her flirtatious vocals that make this retro tune a sonic gift.

Tyrone Marshall – “Illuminated”

Born in Caerphilly and now based in Aberdare, this Welsh singer, songwriter and musician learned piano from the age of 11, wrote his first song at 14 and added guitar at 17. He began playing in bands such as Third Party and The Food. In 2011 he started a solo tribute to John Lennon and joined forces with Chris Maule in 2012 to perform Lennon & McCartney tribute gigs around the UK. Inspired by The Beatles, Crowded House and U2, he released his debut EP “The DAT Sessions” in 1995.

Returning with his first release in 14 years, his new single is a rich, 70s-inspired, nostalgic rocker. Combining the feeling we’re listening to a hidden gem from the era with heartfelt lyrics, this song forges a truly timeless sound. With a rousing percussion, wild piano and lively guitars serving as the foundation, it’s the addition of retro horns and a hint of Hammond organ that fill the melody with sonic goodness. ROSHANI – “Home To Me”

Originally born in Sri Lanka, this Australian singer and songwriter was adopted and moved to Tamworth at 6 weeks old. She has since moved to Sydney and lived in her van while busking on the streets. She was also a contestant on Season 6 of Australian Idol in 2008 and Season 7 of The X-Factor Australia in 2015. Since she’s excited audiences at festivals such as Bluesfest, where she won Breakthrough Artist in 2022 and the Thredbo Blues Festival. She released her debut “Paid In Ink” in 2015.

Telling an emotional story about a broken love that she’s trying to rekindle, her new single takes a touch of blues, a dash of soul and an abundance of gospel and blends them into a sweet amalgamation of sonic excellence. Starting softly with just a blues guitar, the song expands with a warm rhythm and a celestial gospel choir. And with an invigorating electric guitar solo and her soul-drenched, passionate vocals, this luscious tune is lavishly dipped in sensual, auditory flavors.

Leo Golo – “Deciduous”

Hailing from Barcelona, this Spanish singer and songwriter started playing piano at the tender age of 3. He began writing original songs as a teenager. To expand his skills he also attended ESMUC Music College. He’s helped artists around the country with their songwriting and arrangements and participated in songwriting campuses such as the International Writers Camp in The Netherlands. Inspired by The 1975, LANY and Tove Lo, he released his debut EP “Falling Again” in 2021.

Drawing a comparison with trees shedding its leaves with the change of the season, his new single tells the story of a love that fades when its run its course. A breezy pop song at its core, with a hazy synth drone and mild finger snaps, he adds an infectious funky layer to the upbeat chorus. With a spirited percussion, fresh guitars and a vivacious synth soundscape rounding off the multi-layered production, it’s his cheerful vocals that remind you to savour every special moment while it lasts.

Peyton Shay – “Daydream Police”

Born and raised just outside of Los Angeles, this singer and songwriter grew up with a vested interest in music and musical theatre. By the age of 12 she’d already released her first song. Initially self-taught, she honed her skills with professional training on piano and vocals. Her songs have been featured in various TV-shows, such as All American, The Big Bang Theory and several Hallmark movies. Inspired by Avril Lavigne, Blondie and Green Day, she debuted with “Aftertaste” in 2022.

Exploring the blurred lines between fantasy and reality, her new single is a journey of self-discovery and exposes the emotional constraints we tend to put on ourselves. A driving pop song in its essence, the song has a retro 80s edge. With a propulsive beat and melodic electric guitars setting the scene, the chorus adds a touch of rock vitality into the mix. Born in Hull and now based in York, this British singer and songwriter has already been on quite a journey. By the time she was 12 she was already doing bar gigs. Later she won a scholarship to study at the Brighton Institute of Music. After she made the leap to Nashville, USA to hone her craft even more. Back in the UK, she went on to support Colin Blunstone and play festivals like Willowman. Inspired by Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson and Elvis, she debuted with her self-titled album in 2016.

Getting ready to embark on a new musical journey, her new single pays tribute to all that came before. Mixing all kinds of exciting musical flavours into a delicious brew, this jam is spiced with Americana, blues, soul and rock. Rolling into the song with panache, it’s the invigorating rhythm, bright piano and full-bodied horns that forge the imposing melody.
