Born in Ottawa as Raphaela Nehme and raised in Lebanon, this Lebanese-Canadian singer and songwriter grew up in a musical family of an opera singing mum and a classics-loving dad. She’s been honing her skills since she was 7 years old, learning piano, guitar and vocals. Having returned to Ottawa at 19, she studied journalism at university to improve her songwriting prowess. Inspired by artists such as Taylor Swift, she debuted her country-pop sound on “Fifth Street” in 2022.
Emphasising the importance of self-care and the need to step away from being a people-pleaser all the time, her new single teaches the value of boundaries. Choosing to envelop her lyrics in a prominent pop melody, the influence of her country stylings is still present. Starting with an airy, celestial synth drone, the song ascends to its bustling chorus, with lively drums, fiery guitars and sparkling keys. And with her bubbly vocals, this uplifting tune is as inspirational as it is sonic fun.

Raised in Manchester and now London-based, British twin brothers George and Henry Flint grew up making music together. They’ve been playing shows in various bands, while they attended university. After graduation they moved to London where they started writing and producing for other artists. In 2022 they decided to release their own material and in 2023 played the Boardmasters festival. Inspired by The Kinks, Jeff Lynne and Daft Punk, they debuted with “Serengeti” in 2022.
Capturing the overwhelming beauty that true love can bring, their new single is a love letter to that someone who takes your breath away and elevates your life to seventh heaven. With a delectable smooth disco vibe lighting up the glitterball, it’s the bouncy beat, shimmering synths and retro-touched guitars that manages to take you back to the late 70s/early 80s, while still injecting a touch of the present too. And with their airy, vintage-infused vocals, this is a luscious disco-pop groove.
