FLEECE – “Do You Wanna Party?”

Started when three teenagers started jamming together at summer camp, this Canadian quartet officially formed in 2013. Consisting of Matt Rogers, Megan Ennenberg, Jameson Daniel and Ethan Soil, they gained notoriety when their video parody “How To Write An Alt-J Song” went viral in 2015. Compared to Radiohead, Tame Impala and The Pixies, they debuted with their album “Scavenger” in 2015.

Saying goodbye to overthinking and celebrating the joyous feeling of freedom, their new single is a feel-good, disco-lit groove. With a lively beat, cheerful guitars and a whole bunch of sonic fun, they’ve created a delicious blend of retro elements and modern touches. And with Megan’s immaculate vocals, this infectious tune exudes sheer happiness, groovy vibes and pure summertime joy.

Yoke Lore – “Shake”

Born in Katonah, New York as Adrian Galvin, this multi-talented singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, dancer and visual artist grew up in a creative family. While in college, he began writing songs and playing drums for Walk The Moon. Inspired by various artists from Carole King and Joni Mitchell to Roscoe Holcomb and Antebellum, he debuted his new moniker on his EP “Far Shore” in 2016.

Chronicling the need to forego routine in order to open yourself up for new and exciting experiences, his new single lauds the need to shake things up. Taken from his upcoming album “Toward A Never Ending New Beginning”, expected on September 22nd, it’s the warm bass plucks, electronic synth sparkles and his spellbinding vocals that dip this infectious, anthemic groove in nostalgic 00s hues.

Hattie Oates – “Buy Me A Dream”

Hailing from Tamworth and now based in Sydney, this Australian singer and songwriter grew up with the sounds of her music loving parents, but didn’t start writing her own songs until age 11. She graduated from the CMAA Junior Academy in 2017 and started developing her own unique sound since. Inspired by Amy Winehouse, P!nk and Ed Sheeran, she debuted with “She’s All Yours” in 2018.

Narrating the relatable story about the frustration felt when you give more than you receive in a relationship, her new single accompanies the meaningful lyrics with a catchy blend of modern pop with a touch of neon 80s vibes. Driven by the infectious beat, it’s the powerful anthemic chorus and her silken sanguine vocals that this authentic pop groove into an empowering sonic journey.

Tamar Berk – “Drop In The Bucket”

This Cleveland-native singer/songwriter wrote her first song aged 16 and has traveled the country, immersing herself in various genres. From the Chicago garage-rock and punk scene in bands like Starball and Sweet Heat, to Portland, OR’s 60s-inspired band The Pynnacles and 70s-influenced Paradise. Inspired by Thin Lizzy, Elvis Costello and Taylor Swift, she debuted with “Shadow Clues” in 2020.

Although lyrically telling an emotive story about how being patronized and put down by a partner can accumulate until the bucket overflows, her new single wraps it in a retro-dipped tune. Taken from her upcoming album “Tiny Injuries”, expected on August 18th, it’s the crisp synths, pulsating rhythm and sparkling guitars that make this groove a buoyant classic rock/neon pop blend.

Mati Gavriel – “Someone To Somebody”

Born in Israel and raised in Germany, this multi-talented singer, songwriter and producer has an imposing musical career. He’s a multi-instrumentalist who mainly works behind the scenes, composing for TV and advertising. As a producer he’s worked with superstars, like Dolly Parton, Jon Batiste and Belinda Carlisle. Solo being an independent artist, he released his self-titled debut album in 2008.

Capturing the ever-evolving nature of human relation-ships, his new single is an intricate melodic brew. Building the track layer by layer, he starts with intriguing violin plucks and a mild beat, before a full string section injects some true audile magic and it all ascends to an imposing orchestral crescendo. And with his enchanting vocals, this riveting blend of retro and modern is truly breathtaking.

Becky Crosby – “Love Like Medicine”

Hailing from Montclair, New Jersey, this diverse singer and songwriter started performing with her music school at the age of 9. At 14 she moved to a performing arts high school, focusing on studying classical voice. She’s recently completed her vocal jazz studies at Purchase College. Inspired by artists like Paramore, Miley Cyrus and Silk Sonic, she debuted her eclectic musical mix on “Ghost” in 2019.

Despite taking a slightly darker approach to a love story in the lyrics, her new single is a fun-loving and infectious song. Instantly captivating from the very first note, the track bursts onto your eardrums with a delicious funky horn section and a bouncy rhythm. And with her jazzy and soulful vocal blend complimenting the upbeat melody, this snazzy groove is an exciting funkalicious adventure.
