The Niceguys – “King Of The Street”

For over a decade these two Swiss producers and DJ’s have been spinning the wheels of steel, generating mixes in which Future Funk, HipHop and Bass meet. Known for embellishing their sets with their own remixes and mash-ups, they’ve become the most frequently booked Swiss DJ team. Annually they release “Beats On Decks”, a mix of pure funk, influenced by both classics and current trends.

The term Multi-Talented doesn’t even begin to describe the plethora of diverse skills this award-winning artist possesses. She’s a singer, songwriter, actress, producer and a gifted animator. Apart from releasing innovative music since her 2011 debut EP “Nerd”, she played a part in Spike Lee’s “She’s Gotta Have It”animates music video’s and is a cast member of the stage production of Hamilton.

Blending silky soul, velvet funk and retro R&B into a modern track is no small feat, but her latest single makes it sound effortless. The 80s tinted melody has a bracing beat, refreshing harmonies, funky guitar chords and lively synths forging an intoxicatingly dreamy Soulscape for her intense, sultry vocals to dance over. Carter & The Capitals – “One Step From Magic”

Since forming in 2015, this Canadian five-piece funk group from Edmonton has been exciting audiences across the country with their high energy live performances. Fusing the most danceable elements of pop and funk, they’ve created a vigorous sound of virulant melodies and classic soul influenced vocals. After releasing some catchy singles, they are currently working on their debut album.

The first seductively smooth single of the album sounds a bit like what would happen if you put fierce Earth, Wind & Fire-style funk in a blender with suave Classic Motown soul and added a twist of contemporary glitz. With the soul-drenched falsetto vocals of lead singer Lindon Carter gliding over cheerful guitar riffs, a funky rhythm and red-hot retro synths, this infectious jam is pure musical magic.

Orla Gartland – “I Go Crazy”

This 23-year young Irish rose is a singer and songwriter who has been playing music since she was 5 and started taking guitar lessons aged 12. Influenced by legends such as Joni Mitchell and Imogen Heap, she creates a folk pop sound which is uniquely hers. Initially posting videos online, she’s opened for Kodaline and Gabrielle Aplin and released her debut single “Devil On My Shoulder” in 2012.

With a distinct Stevie Nicks vibe poured into her own alt-pop style, her latest single takes you to the edge of her boundless musicality. Channeling the emotions of unrequited love, her impassioned vocals tell a poignant and relatable story. Moorea Masa & The Mood – “Ever Moving”

This talented singer, songwriter and guitarist was born to be a musician. A Portland, Oregon native, she learned to sing in church and grew up with Soul, R&B and Folk music. Wanting to spread love through her music, she returned from studying in the UK to start her career writing and performing her original material as well as recording with artists such as The Decemberists and touring with KD Lang.

The second taster of her upcoming album is dipped in elegant, creamy smooth vibes. With her infatuating, almost hypnotic voice as a seductive focal point, the highly polished instrumentation of warm percussion, sleek guitar and subtle organ tones wraps itself around her lustrous vocal presence.
