Derrival – “Ghosts Of Our Past”

This Canadian five-piece band from Vancouver, consisting of Adam Mah, Glen Jackson, Dan Kozlowski, Deven Azevedo and Shane Stephenson, has been exploring the indie music scene since 2009. They played live at festivals such as Squamish Valley Music Festival and even landed a nomination from the Western Canadian Music Awards. Beating the odds generally facing indie artists, they make deeply personal indie-pop.

For the third single from their upcoming self-titled album they’ve enlisted the vocals of actress Sarah Jeffery. The sophisticated production travels from an upbeat funky rhythm to smooth indie flavors, culminating in an intricate, energetic chorus filled with contemporary synths. Singing about a fragile love affair, it blends indie pop with 80s vibes creating a flawless auditory treat.

Chronicles Of Zee – “In Her Eyes”

Hailing from Wolverhampton, this British trio actually started out as an acoustic duo back in 2009. Lead vocalist Des Chirikeni and guitarist Seb Barnes added drummer Leon Brown to complete the line-up. They are an eclectic classic & modern covers band, blending funk, rock, soul and even reggae and that diverse mix of genres is also present in their own, original material.

Their debut single is a prime example of that fabulous fusion of styles. Dipped in Lenny Kravitz-like vibes, it’s a slick pop song generously laden with infectious 90s rock influences. With a funky rhythm, lively electric rock guitar and impressive soul-infused vocals, it’s a vibrant feel-good musical experience which will definitely have you buzzing like a honey-bee for days to come.

Sophie Coran – “Feel It All”

When you ask for a piano at the tender age of two, it’s clear that music is in your blood. This singer, songwriter and pianist from Philadelphia graduated from the Manhattan School Of Music and performed live both at home as in London, New York and Copenhagen and recently in Sofar Sounds. She enlisted local band Darla to create a full-orchestral sound for her EP “All That Matters”.

The EP’s second track is like a smoky bar where soul and pop meet up with jazz and blues and make beautiful music together. Gizelle Smith – “Sweet Memories”

The Dawn Brothers – “Holy Water”

Although they are not technically related, this Dutch foursome from Rotterdam are brothers through their love of rock ‘n’ roll. They created a whole new spin on the Americana/rootsrock genre, made famous by the likes of Neil Young and The Band, by taking the classic sounds and bringing it right up to date. Their debut album “Stayin’ Out Late” was released in 2017 to rave reviews.

On their latest single they added touches of gospel, soul and rhythm & blues to their rock ‘n’ roll heritage to forge an irresistible, energetic ear-worm.
