The Woods – “Same Boat”

Based in Nashville, this country-rock and folk trio was formed in 2021. Consisting of Dan O’Rourke, Leland Rooney and Canadian vocalist Raquel Cole, they found their 70s-style folk-rock sound in their living rooms and home studios during the Covid lockdowns. Since their start they’ve played festivals like CMA Fest and Watershed Music Festival and opened for artists such as Tim McGraw. Inspired by Fleetwood Mac, The Eagles and Little Big Town, they debuted with “World’s On Fire” in 2022.

Celebrating unity, empathy and peaceful coexistence, their new single reminds us that despite our differences in lifestyles, choices or political alignments, we’re all navigating the same human experience. Blending country-rock and folk into a joyous, upbeat melody, this song retains an organic sound. From the propelling drums and foot-tapping acoustic guitar to the wall-of-sound harmonies, this emits a feel-good vibe. And with her authentic vocals, this is an infectious, sunlit groove.
