In The Spotlight

Faye B – “Moving On”

Forget cuckoo clocks and chocolate, because this R&B songbird is Switzerland’s sweetest export. She made her first mark on the music scene with her silky smooth 2012 debut single “Finally” which featured UK rapper Pyrelli. The single was quickly recognized by the independent R&B/Soul circuit, gaining accolades along the way. Last year she released her debut EP, on which she worked together with several hit producers like Neville Thomas, who previously worked with Beverly Knight and Erykah Badu.

Her latest single is a sleek, velvety R&B groove, which has a definite 90s throwback feel. With a gentle beat and soft, funky bass line driving the song, it gives it a fluid, almost organic quality. Faye’s polished, fresh and intoxicating vocals feel like a warm open fire on a cold day – cosy and welcoming.
