This Yorkshire lassie started taking singing lessons as an early teen and playing keyboard from a young age. She’s also a member of the choral musical collective Leeds Contemporary Singers, with whom she won the BBC singing show “Pitch Battle” in 2017. As a solo artist she feels inspired by idols Ella Fitzgerald and Amy Winehouse, which translates into her jazz, soul and pop fusion sound.
Kicking off her new single with just a mellow jazz piano and her enchanting soulful vocals, creates a suave and sophisticated soundscape. With the addition of the bouncy percussion and multi-layered harmonies giving the song a dash of exuberance, it’s an enthralling mix of jazz, pop and emotive lyrics, blending together into an alluring jam with a bit of spice and an honest vulnerability.
