Alfie Templeman – “Colour Me Blue”

Growing up around his father’s guitar collection and a piano and saxophone playing sister, this gifted British singer and songwriter began playing drums aged 7 and guitar aged 8. From the age of 13, he taught himself 10 more instruments. Since then he’s played various festivals and supported Sundara Karma. Inspired by Todd Rundgren and Leon Bridges, he debuted with “Orange Juice” in 2018.

Filled with summery vibes and a sunlit indie-pop twinkle, his new single is a love song about the wave of excitement felt when you fall in love. Taken from his upcoming debut album “Mellow Moon”, expected to drop on May 27th, it’s the jangly guitar, flavorful percussion and his airy vocals that makes the sun shine in your soul. Doused in catchy technicolor hues, this vivid tune sounds carefree and fun.

Jillette Johnson – “Normal Kid”

Hailing from New York, this singer and songwriter began learning to play piano aged 5 and started to write her own music aged 8. By the age of 12 she was playing full sets at a nearby restaurant and later in clubs. She played major festivals and supported Mary Lambert and Marc Broussard. Inspired by Joni Mitchell, Carole King and Regina Spektor, she debuted with her album “Water In A Whale” in 2013.

Written about making her dreams of being a performer become a reality, her new single is a luscious fusion of sonic influences, reaching across the decades. With elements of late 70s new wave, early 80s synth-pop and 90s R&B, it’s the rolling beat, electronic keys and crisp guitars that create an euphoric melody. And her smooth vocal acrobatics truly make this jam sound extraordinary.
