Born in Bonn, but now London-based, this German singer and songwriter grew up in a household where a piano took pride of place. She’s studying Music Management at the London College of Music. Drawing inspiration from Avril Lavigne, Anastacia and Ella Fitzgerald, she forged a power-house sound. She went on to represent Germany at the Eurovision Song Contest in 2017 with the song “Perfect Life”.
Lyrically underlining the fact that society doesn’t seem to care about the world’s issues, unless it affects them personally, her new single focuses the attention on the actual problems we’re all facing. Starting off smooth and imposing with a shimmering synth and majestic vocals, the chorus adds a powerful pop-rock glaze. With bold guitars and bracing drums, this is an empowering anthem.
